The Woman’s Tears on Jesus’ Feet

Luke 7:36-50

A woman brings an alabaster jar of expensive perfume and anoints Jesus. She weeps over His feet and wipes them with her hair. She is overwhelmed with love for a Savior that doesn’t want to use or make an object lesson of her life. Instead, He brings her forgiveness and freedom. He tells the religious Pharisees to “look at her…”

We can learn from her example of humility, contrition and unwavering worship. She knows she is loved and it has changed her.

What about you? What about me?

Look.

Look again.

Her tears help us see things that should take our breath away. Her love, falling like gold on the feet of Love itself.
